12 V battery maintenance

The 12 V battery, which is integrated with the high voltage battery, is installed in the vehicle to supply power to lamps, wipers, and audio system.

If an abnormality such as high temperature or overcharging is detected in the 12 V battery, the warning message 'Check 12V battery. Stop safely and engage parking brake.' appears on the instrument cluster.

If the warning message appears, we recommend that you have your vehicle inspected by an authorised HYUNDAI dealer.

The efficiency of the battery is significantly reduced at low temperatures. Do not leave the vehicle unsupervised in cold conditions for a long time. Park indoors if possible in cold weather.
Always keep the battery fully charged.
Do not install electrical devices (lamps, black boxes, electric devices, etc.) arbitrarily on the vehicle. The battery may be fully discharged unintentionally.
