Rear combination light replacement

Type A

  1. Tail light
  2. Tail/Stop light
  3. Turn signal light
  4. Tail sub light
  5. Rear fog light (Left-hand drive) / Back up light (Right-hand drive)
  6. Back up light (Left-hand drive) / Rear fog light (Right-hand drive)

If the LED light does not operate, we recommend that you have the system inspected by an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.

The LED light cannot be replaced as a single unit. A skilled technician should check or repair the LED light, for it may damage related parts of the vehicle.

Replacing Stop/Tail light

  1. Turn off the vehicle.

  2. Open the tailgate.

  3. Remove the fixing screw bolt (1) located inside the handle of tailgate lead trim. Use clip remover driver (2) to remove clip fixed in the tailgate panel. Or remove it by pulling the handle hard to disassemble the trim (3).

  4. After disassembling the connector, remove the fixing nut from the body.

  5. Pull the body backwards to remove it from the vehicle.

  6. Remove the socket from the assembly by turning the socket counterclockwise.

  7. Insert a new bulb by inserting it into the socket and rotating it until it locks into place.

  8. Install the socket into the assembly by aligning the tabs on the socket with the slots in the assembly. Push the socket into the assembly and turn the socket clockwise.

  9. Reinstall the lamp assembly to the body of the vehicle.

Type B

  1. Tail/Stop light
  2. Turn signal light

  5. Back up light (Left-hand drive) / Rear fog light (Right-hand drive)
