With the engine on, select Setup > Vehicle > Driver assistance > Driving Safety > Safe Exit from the Settings menu to turn on Safe Exit Assist and deselect to turn off the function.

The driver should always be aware of their surroundings. If “Safe Exit” is deselected, Safe Exit Assist cannot assist you.

If the vehicle is restarted, Safe Exit Assist will maintain the previous setting.

When the vehicle and the trailer are connected electrically, a warning message appears on the instrument cluster, and Safe Exit Assist is deactivated. The function resumes after the trailer connector is disconnected. (When using HYUNDAI genuine parts)
