Green Zone Drive mode

This is a driving mode that expands electric driving when entering internal roads in places where air quality improvement is required, such as dense residential areas, large hospitals, and schools.

Function setting

Turn on the vehicle in 'P' (Park), select Settings > Vehicle > ECO Vehicle > Green Zone EV Drive in the infotainment menu.

The function can be selected only for vehicles equipped with navigation features.

Function operation

If you enter the green zone with ECO mode turned on, the indicator light on the instrument cluster turns on and ECO mode switches to Green Zone Drive mode.

This won't work in the following situations:

  • When the ESC OFF indicator light is on

  • When the function cannot operate normally due to a failure of the electrical device, etc.

  • When the shift position is not ‘D’ (Drive)

  • Even in the Green Zone, electric mode driving ability may be reduced or the engine may not start in the following situations:

    • When the battery charge status is low

    • When engine power is required for cooling and heating

    • When engine power is required for acceleration/uphill driving

    • Cases where vehicle starting is required for smooth operation of the drive system such as engine, transmission, etc.

  • If the GPS reception signal is poor or the GPS does not recognize the internal road in the navigation, the green zone may not be recognized.

  • Green Zones may be added, deleted, or their scope changed through regular navigation updates.
